The paper "Keyword-Based Mobile Application Sharing" presented in ACM MobiArch 2016 (New York) and has won the best paper award.
The authors are Ioannis Psaras, Sergi Rene, Kostantinos V. Katsaros, Nikolaos Bezirgiannidis, Vasilis Sourlas, Sotiris Diamantopoulos, Ioannis Komnios, Vassilis Tsaoussidis, George Pavlou.
They introduce a new mobile computing paradigm to alleviate some of the network stress that mobile applications are putting into the network. According to this paradigm, users can share the applications that they have on their mobile devices with nearby users that want access to processed information, which their own applications cannot provide.
Best Paper Award for "Opportunistic Off-Path Content Discovery in Information-Centric Networks" of Onur Ascigil, Vasilis Sourlas, Ioannis Psaras and George Pavlou at IEEE LANMAN 2016 in Rome, Italy.
Recent research in Information-Centric Networks has considered various approaches for discovering content in the cache-enabled nodes of the network. They consider an opportunistic approach that uses trails left behind by data packets from the content origin to the sources in order to discover off-path cached content.
